Safari Journeys
Six carefully designed
journeys. Hundreds of
moments of your own.
Each of our signature itineraries is a starting point, not a fixed route. Every journey we plan is built around your specific dates, pace, interests and aims — tailored in a way no platform can replicate.
Signature Journeys
East Africa,
tailored to you.
Use these as a starting point. Tell us your dates, who’s travelling, and what matters — we’ll shape the itinerary around you. Every journey can include one or more Purpose Days. None of the routes below are fixed.
Journey Founders
This journey exists because of a specific problem: most luxury safaris are stimulating. They’re extraordinary, visually overwhelming, endlessly eventful — and they return you home more tired than you left. That is not what this trip is for.
The Founders’ Sabbatical is designed around the idea that genuine reset requires structure as much as space. Not a packed schedule — but a considered one. Dawn drives, long breakfasts, quiet afternoons, expert conversation when you want it and silence when you don’t. The Maasai Mara and the Serengeti are extraordinary backdrops. They also have a way of reorganising your sense of proportion that no boardroom or beach can replicate.
The Purpose Day is for guests who want the trip to mean something beyond the wildlife — a structured day with one of our partner schools or community initiatives, designed around a solo guest or a small group. Most people tell us it becomes the part of the journey they remember most.
Family Legacy Safari.
Most family safaris are designed around keeping children entertained — shortened game drives, swimming pools between drives, activities that require as little from them as possible. This one is designed differently. It assumes your children are capable of more than they are usually asked for, and that the most lasting thing you can give them is a trip that made them feel something real.
The Family Legacy Safari combines private game viewing across Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau and the Maasai Mara with a Purpose Day that puts children alongside local students their own age — not as observers, not as donors, but as participants in a genuine exchange. The itinerary is structured for family pace: longer mornings, proper rest in the afternoon heat, and evenings at camp that are genuinely relaxed.
The guide who accompanies you throughout knows East Africa at a level that holds the attention of teenagers as well as adults. The lodges are chosen for space and comfort that works for families, not for romance or minimalism. The experience is full, not compressed.
Gorillas, Kigali& Culture.
Most Rwanda itineraries are built backwards from the gorilla permit: two days in Volcanoes National Park, a polite visit to Kigali, departure. The gorilla hour is extraordinary — there is nothing else quite like it in the natural world — but designing an entire journey around sixty minutes in the forest undersells what Rwanda actually is.
Kigali is a city that consistently surprises visitors who arrive with modest expectations. Contemporary art, speciality coffee, thoughtful restaurants, a memorial to the 1994 genocide that is among the most important public spaces in Africa — and a culture that has processed extraordinary historical trauma with a directness and intelligence that makes every conversation about the country feel substantive. Two days in Kigali, properly structured, is not a preamble to the gorillas. It is the other half of a genuinely rich journey.
The Purpose Day on this itinerary is based in Kigali — a visit to a creative enterprise working at the intersection of traditional craft and contemporary design. The work is interesting; the conversation about what it means to build something in Rwanda in 2025 is more interesting still.
Honeymoon with a heart.
Most honeymoon safaris are indistinguishable from each other: a luxury tented camp, a champagne sundowner, a morning with the big cats. All of it is beautiful. None of it is particularly specific to you. The Honeymoon With A Heart is designed for couples who want those things — and also want the trip to mean something more than the photographs it produces.
The journey moves from the Maasai Mara’s private conservancies through Tanzania’s Serengeti and onto the Zanzibar coast — bush to beach, wildlife to ocean, structure to total freedom. The Purpose Day in this itinerary is adapted for two: an intimate visit to a community enterprise in the Mara region run by women, which is a genuinely different experience to the school visit format and one that most couples find unexpectedly moving.
The lodges are chosen for privacy and quality above all else. Every camp has fewer than twelve guests. Every suite has a private veranda with an unobstructed view. The guiding is exceptional — because exceptional guiding is the difference between a pleasant game drive and a morning you talk about for the next twenty years.
Great Migration Safari.
The Great Migration is the world’s largest mammal movement — roughly 1.5 million wildebeest, 400,000 zebra and 200,000 gazelle moving in a circuit through the Serengeti and Maasai Mara ecosystems. The river crossings at the Mara River are the moment most associated with the migration, and they are extraordinary. They are also not predictable: a crossing can happen at 6am or not at all, at one of a dozen possible crossing points, with anything from thirty animals to ten thousand.
The guide is everything on this trip. The difference between someone who has spent five seasons learning how the herds move and where they cross, and someone working from a radio report, is the difference between watching a crossing and missing it. Our guide for the Migration Safari has been in the Mara Triangle specifically for eight consecutive dry seasons. He knows which crossing points to position at on which wind directions. He knows what the herd behaviour in the days before a crossing looks like. He has been wrong, and he knows why.
This is an 8-day trip built specifically for the migration window. It is not for guests who want the Mara in general — there are better itineraries for that. It is for guests who want the crossing, and who understand that getting the crossing means spending serious time at the river with a guide who knows it.
Minimalist Solo Reset
This trip is for people who need to think. Not who want to relax — relaxation is usually available at home. Who need uninterrupted time in a place that is genuinely demanding of their attention, with a guide who is capable of silence as well as conversation, and a structure that is firm enough to hold the days together without filling them.
Laikipia is the right place for this. It is not the Mara: there are no vehicle convoys, no fixed departure times, no infrastructure built around the idea of keeping you comfortable and entertained simultaneously. It is open land, managed for conservation, with walking safaris that take you into the bush on foot — which is a different experience to a game drive in a way that is difficult to explain until you have done it.
Six days. One guide. A conservancy with space enough to feel alone in it. The Purpose Day on this trip is entirely optional and entirely private — if you want it, it is there. If you need the day for something else, it disappears from the itinerary without discussion.

Our Planning Process
How we design
your journey.
01
Discovery
A short call or a detailed form — whichever suits you. We ask who’s travelling, when, what you want to feel on this trip, and what you’d like your presence to mean. We listen more than we talk at this stage.
02
Outline
Within 48 hours we send a draft outline with one or two options — different routes, lodge combinations, or approaches to incorporating Purpose Days. Each comes with an indicative budget and honest reasoning for every choice.
03
Refinement
We work through the details together — pace, lodge sequencing, Purpose Day structure, activity level, and any special moments we can build in. Pricing is finalised. Bookings are confirmed. You receive a full itinerary document.
04
On the ground
We remain your point of contact before, during and after travel. Pre-trip briefings, on-the-ground support, and a post-trip impact report showing the outcomes of your Purpose Day contribution. No hand-offs, ever.
